On the firing line
Update to this thread: http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/167121-quitting-smoking.html

After 24 years of smoking that part of my life has ended.

I quit on Saturday. Have been smoke free since. Haven't even had a craving.

Odd side effect: I get more work done in less time, and my ass hurts from sitting in this chair for longer periods of time. Other than that... all's good.

Because the mother fucking seo_mike came out and said 'fuck smoking I ain't doin dat no mo'

Congrats man, I quit about 4 months ago. After a few weeks, and some phlegm, you'll feel much better, your lung capacity will be much greater, and it will be the best change you've made.

This is my 2nd real "quit", quit for a year, and ASW/Vegas ruined that for me.

Probably sounds weird, but what has helped me quit and stay away is surrounding myself by smokers (kind of unintentional). Most of my friends smoke, so a big part of quitting for me was to make sure I could be around it. Stay strong!

I would congratulate you bro but I'm underachiever who's never happy seeing other people succeeding.

I smoked for about 6 years and quit, its hard! Congrats! Stick with it, you will notice even more improvements as time goes on and your lungs can take in more air and process oxygen better, you will physically get much more endurance and stamina...

You finally quit SEO full time? Congrats, I knew dropping the SEO title was just step 1.

Great work Mike. Don't slip up. The first year is still a period when you're vulnerable to a relapse.

No offense Mike, but it's only been a couple of days. I always thought the worst of it was around the 2 week mark (unless you're taking Chantix or something.) Long road ahead my friend.

Edit: after looking back at your thread looks like Chantix yeah?

Yeah. After all the horror stories, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about taking Chantix. After taking it for about two weeks now, with no side effects, I'm thrilled. Basically, it's doing exactly what it says it's supposed to: eliminate the cravings.

I'll probably take it for a total of two months, then be off that two. That'll give me 6 weeks of 'help'. Enough time to be completely habit free.

The site in my link in the thread above is offline, so I'll post this one for you.

(ebook) - Allen Carr- Easy Way To Stop Smoking [It Works].pdf download - 2shared

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading this BOOK while you're quitting/have quit. SRSLY!!

The guys in the other thread were DEAD ON about that book!!

I'm almost done with the book and QUIT using the patches now.

I've been into NLP for a LONG time and even though I KNOW it is being used in this book it's STILL WORKING!!

lol

Mike, get Allen's book and you'll NOT need to FEAR any cravings.

Congratulations again!!
