So that pofecker guy ( u know, the one whose best way of monetizing is whoring a hasoffers "network" to a bunch of carders on BHW) (network's in quotes, i say that so lightly...) that's supposedly cool with blackhat and spam traffic... {that is, until the advertisers find out and don't pay him, at which point he says :321: to the pubs)

Well, he's now disseminating information such as:

The FTC is currently investigating networks and affiliates that are sending leads by way of CL and other spam practices. Records are being turned over and shit hitting the fan is now imminent!

Networks are getting cease and desists and others are getting subpoenas.
I find it really hard to believe that the FTC is going to suddenly take a stance on THIS, of all issues... take the oprahflogberry shitstorm that hit last year - i mean, that was out in the open and a wayyyy higher % of affiliates were running that sort of offer* * as far as i can tell lol?

The other thing that potentially bothers me is if any networks would just start blanket handing out information about all their publishers... i mean wtf... I looked at confidentiality clauses in the Affiliate TOC of a couple networks I run with and it really only talks about confidentiality as im not allowed to talk about their secrets with anyone else.

Any network heads wanna confirm they've been served with a C&D or a Subpoena about this?? Would you be able to say anything if you did??

Wouldn't the advertiser usually pursue a fraudulent publisher themselves??

HMMMMMM WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE.

And I wont even get into mentioning the fact that BHW is now finally denouncing EWHORING as wire fraud...
when half their mods ran ewhoring networks and a huge portion of their members were there just for that.
LOLZ.

methinks they just dont wanna get Pwn'd by their host for AUP violations.. its something like $500 bucks a violation for repeat violations from volumedrive

(so if you wanna hurt BHW, don't DDOS them, just play detective and report them for violations to their host? ) :338:

I highly doubt that the FTC has the time to chase down small time CL spammers when they can chase down the big money berry slingers. And no, as a network head, I have definitely not received any C&D's about this.

You think anything they do (it's a forum, so not liable for members postings) violates Volumedrive's AUP? And do you think Volumedrive's uplink providers will give a shit about any of that? Volumedrive gets their bandwidth from BurstNet (even after moving out of Burst's colo space), and BurstNet hosted Azoogle's 150+ spam server operation back in the day with no issues from their upstreams.

didn't think so much as took stab in dark.

Didn't know just by adding a disclaimer that will cover you as far as liability is concerned. are you sure about that? just trying to clarify...

all he did was broker all the offers from mediatrust anyways

i wouldn't trust that guy's credibility anyways to be honest, who knows if its true or not

^ Much is true sir. Nuff said.

pofecker getting C&D'd = result of pofecker's work

i stopped visiting bhw ages ago. the forum is borderline criminal... carders, investment embezzlers, malware injection and all types of shiesty shit goes on there... i lost $50 to one of the mod's 'product launches' that ended with him going on a sabbatical the day right after the supposed launch.

anything happens to a bhw mod..... it's their own doing!

There's no carding and malware going on but the shit they do on craigslist is fucked.

BHW used to be about spamming and BH seo now it's just how to fraud desperate unemployed people and horny guys to enter their CCs in some type of scam offer. Even worse that slinging berries and the sad part is that they all somehow think it's all legal...

Sad to see a good place turn to shit like that.

I guess that's one of the benefits of bashing noobs on WF. It keeps the BS away.

The FTC has already been filing cases and doing the smackdown on alleged spammers in the past few years (such as alleged myspace and facebook spammers). Those charges and cases of course have included subpeonas to networks and turning over of affiliate data. I can verify this personally. So if they are continuing to do this regarding CL spamming and/or Ewhoring it would be no surprise and an extension of what they have been doing for years now.
