... and if a rebill gets shit canned by the FTC you're equally fucked.
I am not thrilled about these new changes at ePN as I've said in another thread - but if retail affiliate programs are what you're looking for - ePN plays into that mix. I was really irked when I first read about the changes (and I've seen some weird fluctuations in earnings as well) and i'm not convinced it's going to be a great thing for affiliates. that's why I'm stoked by
this thread that shows how to integrate multiple retail merchant offers on a single post using
auction2post. (yeah, fuck it, it's a plug)
the new Quality Click Pricing algorithm is going to be pretty easy to figure, it only has two modes:
1) if eBay looks like it's going to miss its stock's target eps (earnings per share), affiliates will get a lower percentage per sale/click/whatever the fuck you want to call it.
2) if eBay looks like it will meet or exceed its stock's target eps, affiliates will get a lower percentage per sale/click/whatever the fuck you want to call it.
win/win situation. eBay/shareholders that is... oh, affiliates - ha! - they don't figure into this at all.
