How about when you're in the car....you don't exactly want to be writing while driving. Reqall.com FTW. Up to a 30 second voice message automatically converted to text and waiting in your inbox when you get home. Also so much less of a pain in the ass than thumbing it out on an ipod or whatever. More accurate than Jott (which is no longer free), but reqall IS free.

I'll never forget my sophomore year in highschool was Geometry. OOOh how I sucked at math. Geometry in particular (was actually pretty decent with Algebra though) I had this one problem that I had been trying to figure out for hours. You know one of those problems that had a geometric figure and had a-g in solutions? (Most of you are probably a bunch of Math geeks so you probably have no idea what was the deal but just be sweet and nod your head uh huh) It was so frustrating because we had been over it in class but I just couldn't get it. I was exhausted and finallly decided I needed a nap. I remember thinking about how I had heard that the subconcious absorbs EVERYThing and I also that when you sleep your subcouncous comes forward and how sweet it would be if I could bring forward this equation. I was probably assleep 5-10 minutes and BAM I knew it. I swear to god I saw it all in my head and I knew it. a b c d e f g- BAM. That was the coolest thing ever. That's also when I knew that I wanted to be a psych major. :D

Very interesting turbolapp, gives me another reason to finish reading this book "Evolve your brain" by Dr. Joe Dispenza.

I have a note pad next to my bed for anything that needs a diagram, otherwise I just make a brief recording with my phone. I almost never listen to those audio notes since just saying it out loud is usually enough make me wake up thinking about it.

I keep my laptop right next to me -- since I can't sleep without some light music on (I know, I know) -- and that comes in handy if I have a idea strike.

Another thing I do is to develop a meaningful mnemonic (if I am too lazy to wake up to type the whole thing into my laptop) -- for example last night I had an idea for DRoPS -- not going to go into what it is but I certainly remembered this over the longggggggg full form.
