Dogs are mine too. Anyone who would mistreat one or get one and then not take care of it should be neutered themselves.
Because blueberry pop tarts and cheese pizza last night are smarter than a dog. When I eat meat I also try to make sure it's humane certified. This is inhumane treatment and if you can't see the difference then you're a fucking retard.

Interesting website. Appears to only help pure bred golden retrievers. i.e. We will help you only if you fit our definition of worthy. Guess the dogs without papers are sol.
Which is perfectly within their rights. I wonder though how many dogs in need might have been passed over while looking for the next poor g. retriever. Could be wrong just a quick observation by reading the About Us page.

@papajohn that dog is in rough shape, but he looks recoverable. Actually kind of mild when you see what is going on out there on this topic. Last year a fighting ring was broken up and in the end there were over 500 pits that were rescued.

I check their site semi frequently to see what's available, not just goldens are listed. It's their focus, but they do care for other breeds at times (or mixed). Plus, rescues like this exist all over for other breeds.
Quite a few rescue operations out there that are focused on a particular breed. Usually though its dogs that have aggression issues that people don't know how to properly deal with (GSD, Pits, Rottweilers etc), so they stop taking care of the animal or dogs that require a high degree of care (e.g. OMG that Great Dane Puppy is so cute, until the fucker weighs 180lbs and can't take care of it etc). I guess I can see it for retrievers, really popular breed...probably sell like hot cakes to idiots from puppy mills.
It's a real shame what people do to dogs. I rescued my dog from a site like this, a boxer. Just reading the stories make you want to rescue them. Mine was beaten by its owner to try and become a fighting dog, but boxer's aren't fighting dogs, ironic? She used to hate male's because of this and her hair would stick up if a male stranger came insight. She weighed like nothing and you could see her ribs. She is kind of "dopey", might be because of the beatings.
Now she is normal weight and not really defensive against male's anymore. I take her to agility classes and she competes (everybody is a winner tho ;p) and does real well off the leash. Will absolutely rescue another dog in the future.

That's why before I ever give handouts to homeless people, I always administer a quick IQ test to make sure they are worthy of my assistance.
