how do you guys make money

shit this month I made a whopping 400$ profit so far. Ballin'...

shit's so frustrating it seems like 99% of what I try ends up in total failure and I lose chunks of money.

these fuckers need to start buying/clicking

Maybe internet marketing isn't for you. Time to get a job?

Though I'm sure you'll find something that'll work out eventually. So keep testing. Well, that's what I tell myself.

Dude...........i spent 12-16 hours a day at a computer (8 at my reg job...the rest on my project) for 2 months trying to code what i thought was 'the next big thing' that would use adsense to make me a millionaire. Got so caught up in it that stress and a lack of sleep led to neck spasms that got so bad my hands were constantly going numb. Went live in early July on a $150/month dedicated server. From July 1-15 i made 15 cents........15 fuckin cents in adsense. $150 server - 15 cents = fucking $149 in the red. Motherfucker.....talk about a sudden kick in the nuts.

So, your $400 bucks looks like a goldmine compared to that. Keep at it and relish everything you're learning. In a few months when you're bringing in what looks to others as 'easy money', you'll be able to look back and appreciate your sacrifices.

ouch, thats why i dont go for big projects - a fear of that happening.

It takes time to find out what works, rewards are pretty nice for those who can persist though :) Once heard someone say, if you have no business failures, then you've never taken any risks.

july = ms pwnage

i spent a year working on something that loses $250/month. so dont feel so bad. am i still trying to make it work? yes, and other things too. dont keep all your eggs in one basket. take it as a lesson learned and move on.

I've made 300 dollars so far this month. Started mid-Jan I could not be happier. I was originally making 2:1. Then I started looking at landing pages where people were bidding on every single keyword and were in the top spots. I wanted to know what they were doing quality score wise so I could put into action. CA BAM! overnight 3:1-4:1 returns.
Sure, I'm only making 25/day. Its scalable. I set up 2 ppc-affiliate campaigns last night. Its exciting... I can't make this much money in my savings account that's for sure.
I made 250 dollars nov-dec on PPC-arbitrage. That was frustring 2:1 returns with putting up with google giving me cheap clicks and ruining my profit. This is nice. I have alot to learn yet i'm already successful.
One thing I do that alot of people don't do is hire alot of stuff out. You'll get burned/never get around to creating landing pages and writing salesletters and pouring your hearts into them. What for? Costs me 75 dollars to have that all done for me. Then I rewrite my custom scraper to scrape millions of keywords and i'm all set. Except for the fact i need to get about 40 adwords accounts =).

Wouldn't generally start w/ a dedicated server.. Always start w/ cheap hosting.

Reason being.... It only takes 12-24 hrs to move servers and can save you quite a few dollars...

Cause your a noob and noobs dont make much money online. Any money that they do make it is usally from selling crappy trunkeys or sites on sitepoint and then calling it a 'business'.

The pros are aleays lightyears ahead. They know how to rank in search engines and get traffic, they know how to spot trends, they know how to program, and they certainly know how to make money.

That's easy to say but when you got something that you're SURE is gonna hit it big. Its kinda difficult to sleep with it on a crappy server.

"the pros" aren't lightyears ahead, they are just using common sense

I was *so* close to going ahead and getting a second server cuz i just KNEW i'd need 2 of them within a week of my viral shit taking off. I had everything over-engineered and ready to be scaled to hell. I even checked with the hosting company about a load balancer. LOL. Looking back, i was such a dipshit for thinking it was that easy.

I think I remember what your talking about. It was that plan to get all those subdomains indexed and you posted it on syndk8. yea sorry it didn;t work.

Fuck you, where do the "pros" come from? definately not from asshats like yourself. 99% of the pros failed at everything for months and months until finding something that works. Its just the way it fucking works.

int_josh, stfu and keep plugging away and stop asking suckass questions like "how do you guys do it"
