God I hate Adwords.

I had a couple campaigns with the name 'Google' in the domain. After 2 weeks+ of awesome profits, I get the dreaded google slap - all my keywords change to have a QS of 1 (they were at 10 before).

Now, I even started a new account. Trying something new. Trying to advertise to a same domain as before.

As soon as I get this shit done (and as you know, creating a new campaign takes time) I get all of my key words - and I mean ALL of them - marked with an "ads won't show due to low quality score" and they all have QS of 1.

What the fuck?!?

I was making multiple hundreds per day from Adwords, and now they won't give me the time of day. If I try to shift the same page to a new domain, it's the same shit. If I try to open a new Adwords account, it's the same shit.

Am I done? Is there hope? Am I left with non-Google traffic sources? What gives? Why does Google hate me? What the fuck can I do to deal with this shit? Customer service can lick my taint for the amount of help they've given; I've chatted with 2 reps and they all spew the same corporate "review our guidelines" bullshit with nothing constructive to add.

If anyone's been in my shoes, I'd love to hear what happened with them. Because I'm about ready to say FUCK GOOGLE and move on. This shit is getting retarded.

With that, I'm out.

Peace,

You should always be developing multiple sources for traffic.

First rule of internet. Don't rely on Google for anything.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your predicament. I hope you get it worked out.

Yeah I've read that Google issues a lower quality score for .info domains, not sure.

thanks. it seems like a load of crap, because I would assume a keyword .info would be better than a no-keyword .com for advertising purposes.

the exact same thing has happened to me this week promoting a certain rebill - was doing great making so nice dough and then overnight slapped. bought a new domain new account still not performing how it was - tried raising ctr / bids then scaling back - still fucked

they constantly talk about user experience what about fucking advertiser user experience - dont know too many professional companies in the world that turn fuck your advertising without even telling u about it and dont like money

Yes Google is trying their best to suck as hard as possible these days. And they're succeeding greatly.

Your main problem is the rebill offer. They flat out hate rebill offers - especially anything to do with biz ops / Google related offers. You can get around it for short periods of time with resubmitting with new domains and such, but you'll find yourself in a nonstop slapfest.

I'd consider other traffic sources for your offer if I were you.

HI Buddy,

I also faced a same problem last month. Here is the story...

1>> My Adwords campaign for rebill Google Cash for working great. It was having a Quality Score of 10 and I was making money like shit.
2>> On 12th May, I saw that the same ad's Quality Score is 1 and its receiving no clicks. The worst thing was that Google's System showed a minimum Bid of $15 to qualify for the clicks.

I checked the fuck and I think the reason for this shit was use of Google TM in other ways, like Googggle, i hope you know what I mean!

I dont know yet what to do and so i had left it like that only, but the new problem now is, I am getting same minimum bid on any new campaign, even worst thing is that i am getting same rate of $15 for a keyword like "one time in mexico" where i only had 1 Amazon Competitior on Adwords.

Google is shit now. Lets move onto something else! Google should understand that we as Advertisers or Affiliates also have kids to send to school and girls to seduce.

THis is lame.

Based on what everybody has been saying the "slap" usually occurs during the first 30 days... is this correct? So if this is true, how about everybody puts up a generic biz opp site without any mention of Google or rebill for 30-45 days, then switch it afterwards? Or do you think the Google "check" is something that happens to all accounts randomly, and every 30-45 days...

This may be far fetched as a solution but... where are the Google HQ located at? Somebody find out the state, get a RANGE of IP addresses that could possibly represent where the dotheads are that review our sites at 3:45am while we're sleeping.

So if we have a range of IPs that could represent the main area where they are, can't we then add a geo-targeted script to our LPs that detect this IP loading our site, and instead of loading Google, we show them a nice safe biz opp they would smile over.

We do this type of thing now with certain sites (display one result vs. another) based on IP... and it works fine.

Shit, if you have to, ban the entire state where Google resides, you'll do well making $ from the other 49 states.

Cloaking? That's a suicide. There's a thread on adword cloaking in this forum. Their IP range and geo aren't all from google's isp.

........

It's not as simple a that IMO as Google runs checks from Ireland, Australia, India etc. I've managed to successfully skirt them for months using a combo of IP/referrer/query cloaking, but it is getting harder. They're checking from IP's not resolving to G, such as Level3 Networks, Telstra, Ripe Net and so-on. And then you have PT "quality" checkers based all around the world doing their bit to screw you up.

really if you think on a macro level - advertising with a platform that invites people to spend money should be that difficult. Google like facebook did is biting the hand that feeds them

at these times i only wish microsoft did buy out yahoo couple months back and launch a major competitor search engine against the monopolistic G

i've learned about the 'google in the domain' thing the hard way too ;) I had newgooglemoneysystem.com and googlemoneysystemblog.com, both ranked top for a few weeks organically, until google fucked them both in the ass with no lube and came in their faces. ( AKA being deindexed )

I was a little upset, but i suppose its just karma fucking me for promoting shady rebill offers. Anyway, what the fuck - I know how to repeat what I did, so no biggie.

Yea scaling to other tracking sources seems to be key - of course, if you're "making money with google" it's a bit tougher to advertise on, for instance, Yahoo.

However there's obviously plenty more options than that. Lots of PPC sources. Plus - about to get to work on some SEO for the win.....

Why bother disputing trademark, when you know precisely what the people infringing your trademark are using that infringement for and can hit them faster and in more painful ways?
If you're dumb enough to use "google" in a domain name, you really had it coming.

As much as it pains me to agree with guerilla, he's spot on about not relying on Google.
They're not the be all and end all, and they can easily fuck you up if you rely on them as such.
