As much as it pains me to agree with guerilla, he's spot on about not relying on Google.

It makes you feel good. And I didn't even have to stick my tongue in your ear this time.

If you get slapped for promoting a certain type of product a certain way, move on, find something else. It's like SEO, although you can game the search engines sometimes, you'll often find you spend so much time coming up with new tricks they haven't countered, that you could have been spending that time actually doing something properly, that will last.

Regarding Google IPs - they have contractors all around the world doing those little jobs. So, pretty much impossible to cloak in any way.
