It seems to be a 3rd world thing. It sounds like he is from India going by some of his other threads. My wife has relatives in the Philippines and they always turn off the router to "save electricity" even though I set them up with U.S. VOIP phone service. It doesn't work most of the time when my wife tries to call because the router is usually off. I once asked about some cars driving with their headlights off at night there and I was told it was to "save gas".

lol. I feel sorry for anybody who thinks that wasting all of that time each time they get home is worth the $0.01 they'll save on their electricity bill.

They live in a more developed country, such as the USA simply because they're using a iPad2 and a PS3.
