and I still haven't seen the fucking Furlings. You know, those greate aliens that were so great once upon a time and ruling the universe and they couldn't show them once for 17 seasons and 3 full length movies? WTF?

I haven't seen sg1 in ages and I'm rewatching BG. Battlestar Galactica is fucking sick and they stick with the storyline all the way through. Probably one of the only scifi series that a non scifi viewer will like.

Just with the 2hr mini series they will be hooked

Some guy on the forums said he was 76 and in ill health, and he hoped for book 6 before he passed on. It could be a troll, but last I heard, ol' George only had 200 pages of the next book written.
 
Martin is going to be 65 this year. He left strict instructions that all manuscripts, personal notebooks etc. will be destroyed should he pass before he is done writing so that no bastardization of his work will be released.

With him writing so much for the TV show and traveling etc. etc. its no wonder it is taking so long... Only 5 more years to go until you will be able to read the final two books. (at this pace)

Skyler and Jessie are definitely the weak points in Breaking Bad. Jessie as an actor sucks, and Skyler's character is really really irritating.

Quit watching a few episodes into season two. Was just a depressing show plus Walt is a fucking dumbass. Kept wishing Tuco would just shoot him and put me out of my misery. First show I ever cancelled netflix on mid season. Maybe it's cool if you were never exposed to the "lifestyle" but it just put me in semi-rage mode watching those idiots blunder around.

I think you're missing the dude's character... the acting is not forced, it's his character.

Also, I don't think a guy with forced acting would have a resume like this:

I grew up around that shit and so did everyone I grew up with, yet all of them love the show. It's one of the most realistic shows out there, which makes it so damn good.
 
+1 for Breaking Bad being overrated. It is a good show don't fucking get me wrong. But the best thing on TV? Nah.

If people find Skylar annoying, I guess that's the point and the actress is doing a good job. I'm sure the creator wanted to create a wife character who is as "cunty" as humanly possible without being obvious. Who hasn't come across a woman you would like to (different from doing) punch in the ovaries in their lifetime?

And I find it hard to sympathize / follow a story with Walt as the main character. He's a stubborn weakling and if it were real life that guy would have copped 1000 bullets to the dome by now. **SPOILER** If it were real life, he would have just taken the dude's money to pay for his therapy the show would be over by now. He refuses the money because he used to bang the wife of the guy willing to give him a another shot of life but he's willing to sell drugs and put his family and his own safety on the line? I don't really buy it. **/SPOILER**

Walt has practically no redeeming qualities as a human being and is a piece of shit person who doesn't mind ruining other people's lives by selling drugs for his own gain. Now I'm all for following bad / immoral guys, but this bad guy just isn't interesting to me in the way Tony Soprano is. Because Soprano can crack cunts heads open with a baseball bat if people fuck with him while Walt begs for his life when threatened.

Jesse / Saul / El Pollo dude I forgot the name of are the main reasons I kept watching up to Season 3, didn't bother with 4.

GoT is up there for sure. Probably the best eva because even absolute dummies can appreciate it because there is a lot of blood and boobs and it's terrifically done, unlike Spartacus which is a steaming pile of shit IMO. Not everybody can appreciate shows like The Wire or BSG.
