I was checking out my nephew's Nintendo DS and the first thing I thought to myself was, "Wow, I remember when the $300 console systems were trying to achieve this level of playability and graphics. Now, it's in a handheld that's considered trash by more serious gamer kids."
Made me feel pretty damn old, especially when he had to show me how it worked (he's 3).
Anyway, I got to feeling nostalgic and browsing through games of the past I used to play. Who remembers these classics?
Atari Pitfall:
Super Mario Bros on Nintendo:
Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Gensis:
Legendary Axe on Turbo Graphics 16:
Sewer Shark on Sega CD:
Mario Kart on Super Nintendo:
Wolfenstein 3d on PC:
Doom on PC:
Quake on PC:
Ultima Online:
Everquest on PC:
Man, I miss the good old days. :arcadefreak:
Edit: God, I AM old! fml!
