Generating Adult Affiliate Income

I've used them off and on for 7 years. They have always paid. Conversions really seem to depend on what site you're promoting for them. Kara's has done well for me sometimes, but never as well as other programs out there.

Wow, MaxCash is not only still around but still converting?! They were one of the first affiliate programs I used back in the mid-90's. Amazing how they are still around!!

The whole 2257 thing, thank god I got out of adult before that hit. It definitely would have killed me off or worse, made me lose a lot of money. I remember getting the ID's from the content providers who leased us our feeds, and it came with almost a gig of just model ID's. How anyone is able to sort through that and organize it now is beyond anything I can ever try to comprehend.

Good to see so many people still in the game though. Never be ashamed of working in adult. They are the true pioneers of all internet industries in terms of content distribution, marketing, payment processing, and everything that has to do with affiliates. Unfortunately they get little or no recognition for it, and that kinda sucks, but hey, they are recession proof, so who can complain?

What are the typical conversion ratios at nowadays on different types of traffic for general and fetish style niches? Just curious..

My conversions are weird. for some, its 1:1000 for general traffic. for the niche stuff, I am hitting 1:40-50 but its a matter of getting traffic FOR that niche. Also, fling is doing 1:200-300 for me which is great for the adultfriendfinder type of websites IMO.

I'd love to get some insight from you on adult stuff Jon. I know you were big into it and some tips from you could prove great for this thread and also help even if you have been out of adult for a long time.

Thanks

I'd love to hear more adult info. I just bought a bunch of adult domain names, and plan to start up on that. But I am starting with zero adult experience, and need to start learning that game now.

And one more thing;
How come Google doesn't allow Adsense being placed on adult related sites?

The ironic (and very self-contradictory) part about it all is that you technically CAN put adsense on an adult site. I have tested it, and lots of relevant adult ads showed up in my adsense block. If they are so against it - then how come they don't prevent adult ads from ever showing up in adsense adblocks?

Or - is there a way around this, either by having a premium adsense account or "special permission" after brown-nosing Google staff? :)

I'd love to hear if anyone knows anything about bypassing the "no adult" policy of adsense.

P.S. They also do not allow adsense on anything related to tobacco, firearms, gambling, etc. It's like the prostitution law in Sweden, where selling your body for sex is legal - but buying sex from someone who is selling it is ILlegal.... hmmm.....

ImagesAndWords, there is Fling from NastyDollars who has geotargeted flash ads, and gif ads, and also the pictures of girls with their name/city/state under them. I know theres a few other who have geotargeting as well.

cpd, I'd look over my first post again to get a good grasp of how to start off, and if you want, I can work with you on setting some of the stuff up. just PM Me

Pretty sure click fraud is the reason it is not allowed

ImagesAndWords, I would not worry about adsense on your adult sites. I know what you mean though, it does sound dumb of them to have adult ads show up, but not allow it on adult sites, but I would use adbrite, adengage, or another text ad service for this instead of adsense.

HI Rob.

I thought it was against the law in the US to show hardcore content without a warning and an option to click to enter the site if you are over 18?

I noticed on the two sites in your sig you have hardcore content on display with no warning.

Do you not worry about that?

I've had a lot of luck promoting adult email submits and got lucky with a few CCBill blog links, but I haven't tried out other adult programs yet. Mostly I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that there are people who actually pay for porn when the free stuff is abundantly available and easy to find.

I don't get it - help me understand the mind of an Internet porn buyer.

Which company offers adult email submits & what is the payout? Thanks! :)

I am also interested in making more $$$ with my adult sites. I have close to 100 sites, but really screwed up on duplicate content on most of them, so most of my sales come from 3-4 of my niche sites. I started in 1994 and semi-retired in 2001 from adult after watching my income drop 75%.

I am just starting to get back in to marketing them, cleaning them up, adding a content management / auto updating database, etc... So that should begin to pay off.

But with over 15,000 hits a day or more across all the sites, I feel like I should be making more money than the $3k I make in membership sales and approx $1,000 income from affiliates for live sex (amsterdam), pay per videos (hotmovies) and some other merchandise related affiliate links.

I really need to find someone that can create an affiliate system that I can promote to other webmasters for a 50/50 referral program.

Additionally, programs that really convert and make good $$$ would be nice to know. I have seen a couple posts from people saying they make like $6k a month after the first month of displaying an adult affiliate program, most likely the post was fake, but would like to know how others are making $$$ with their adult.

I am making my money primarily off of my new memberships and rebills. Some other good and reliable cash has came from AEBN.COM, Hotmovies.com, interclimax.com, mallcom.com, adultfriendfinder.com, but totals only ad up to maybe $1000.00 a month.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also for noobs, make sure you focus on a niche, maybe even try to identify a new niche, naked babes with balloons was one of the really new wacky niche markets that made decent $$$ at one point, not sure how great. Make sure your sites are SEO optomized for image and website search results. Create some 'free site' pages to add to your site for additional se placement and traffic... etc...

Good luck out there!!!

Who will you report him 2? His host? The US Govt? And If so what dept would you do this?

BTW welcome to WF

Devore how did you do it man ? :D

In 10 days .... 4397 visitors per day .... tell us man ;)

Traffic trades and Link Exchanges. Theres a few sites you can trade traffic with on cfus.net/vb/ they are trading daily, so you can trade with 10 sites, and those 10 sites will send back traffic.

I hit 9K at one point the other day. I'm pushing for 10K per day in a week or so. It's not hard.

I'm also working on a specific niche that I know will pay off by having my site in the top of the rankings in google. It gets 1K searches per day and its the name of an adult site, so, people are LOOKING for that specific site. so, if they click my site, then more than likely, they will convert better than some other traffic you can get.

I'm going to post a more in depth review of adult income in the next week or so as well. Just to give you more of an idea of other things to do, ect. I just gotta test a couple things first.

Tell me how many websites out there have hardcore content on the main page of their site and ask me why it's against the law? Come on, at least be intelligent in your posts. The sites do not rank for regular SFW words, and are not promoted on SFW sites (without the NSFW next to them, like in my sig) so, I am not doing anything illegal. LOLOLOL this post made me laugh.

oh, and btw, nice ninja smiley. :love-smiley-085:

I really look forward to your upcoming posts on how to make some $$$ in adult. I really need to increase my sales or scrap my existing pay sites and focus on affiliate marketing with the URLs instead. I have quite a few getting top rankings in google for my keywords, but still not enough conversions.

10K a week in traffic! That is totally insane! I wish I could get traffic like that, would love to know how you do that and what it will take to do the same. I am sure I have tons of valuable traffic that I am not taking advantage of.

I have an automated content management database that can pump out hundreds of SEOd and auto updating sites at a click, but it just doesn't make sense to me to keep pumping out new sites until I master the conversion part of everything.

If there is some type of back end deal I can make with you, possibly a % in the increased sales amount or something, I would really love for you to be my mentor!

Rob, I do apologize If you found my post unintelligent

But, I know fish all about promoting adult and after reading some posts on an adult webmaster board it seemed they were always warning newbies about this.

If people showed their new sites for a review they were told not to show hardcore content without a warning if it was a US registered site or even just hosted in the US.

I am just trying to work out what is OK and what is not which is why I asked you for an opinion.

I guess you only find out what the law is when you ask a lawyer or the court papers turn up on your doorstep.

Robert,

I noticed that trading section of cfus.net/vb/ is private. What are the conditions to be part of this section? You need a certain number of uniques per day in order to trade? With how many other sites you can trade traffic maximum? Etc. Thanks! :)
