Old news - Google removed the black bar from Gmail and replaced it with an app launcher. I hate it. Has anyone here found a way to get the black bar back?

No.. But I have been using the New Tab Redirect extension - to get rid of that "new improved tab search page shit" where it lists the last 5 or so websites you have visited..
I swear, these new versions of chrome keep getting shittier and shittier. And you can be it's a bunch of programers sitting in a room, thinking about how they are going to justify their job, so they just dream up new shitty ways to "reimagine the browser."

It's like this new xbox one that is coming out. You got three independent different operating systems all running virtually, because you want to cram every hair-brained idea and shit-ball product you have that is popular into one system. Oh... we own skype now, let's have a voice command for people to call up skype, and let's play a game in another window (oh wait we will need another virtualized environment on that). And while we are at it, let's throw that shitball windows 8.1 operating system, that WAS DESIGNED FOR A TABLET, into the mix, because we are too stupid to think that (oh just maybe, just maybe people interface differently between a tablet and pc or video game system and work different with them).
