What's up with the Bobby Lou bashing?
The Canuck team scored like 8 goals in seven games. You're telling me Tim Thomas would been wearing a ring if the Bruins had scored 8 goals for him in the series total?
Oh well, onto next year.
Note: Logistics for handling the riot was deplorable. At the first whiff of unruly crowd behavior, they froze public transit. No skytrain, no Canada Line, no buses.
Apparently, there was no dispersal plan in place (game over, move along citizen!!). Somebody upstairs should get a boot in the arse over this cock-up, but probably won't.
100,000 people trapped in a little peninsula (Vancouver downtown) with no way to get home. Jeepers it could have been a lot worse.

The Canuks are a far superior baseball team, not sure how they ended up losing to the other team.

They just fumbled the hole in one before the scrum after the grand slam instead of scoring the three pointer on the red card play, before the try, seconds before dunking on the 8 ball to win the game in extra time...
True enough. I've lived in the majority of major Canadian cities, plus in several other cities around the world. Without question, Vancouver is by far the best city I've ever lived in. The downtown core is an awesome place to live.

People came in after the 2nd period with gas cans, gas masks and other gear to riot just to start shit.
Fact:
-95% of these people were from gvrd areas
-Most dont know what an offside is, and are not hockey fans
-These riots were not a result of a hockey game, rather an opportunity taken by scum of the earth people that will never contribute to society

I craigslisted "LV" (because that store got looted) and like 90% of the ads were from Surrey and East Van. Those assholes were just using the finals as an excuse to riot.. I mean, who brings molatov's to "celebrate"
It wasn't really about hockey or Canooks - the riot was going to happen either way. You ever bring a molotov in your back pocket to the game for the fun of it?
