Im not much into Christian bands...but Flyleaf rocks so fuckin hard and the lead singer is hot as hell.

I kind of liked DC Talk when I was a kid.

Not quite authentic enough for me now though. Christian bands are usually not really making the music they want to make. They're making the music they think other people want to hear so they can evangelize. That results in a lot of wack, incongruent artists acting like something they're not.

hehe its cool that'll happen 90% of the time here. There's a big religious divide here at WF.

My favorite song of all time happens to be the most athiest song of all.

Ironically one of my favorite "Religious" songs is also by Tool. I don't know if he was just doing it as a tribute to his Mom or what, but he certainly seemed to change his perspective a little bit on the latest album.

"Set as I am in my ways and my arrogance
Burden of proof tossed upon non-believers.
You were my witness, my eyes, my evidence,
Judith Marie, unconditional one.

Daylight dims leaving cool flourescence.
Difficult to see you in this light.
Please forgive this bold suggestion:
Should you see your maker's face tonight
Look him in the eye
Look him in the eye and tell him
I never lived a lie, never took a life,
But surely saved one
Hallejullah,
It's time for you to bring me home. "

Here is another kickass Flyleaf accustic. I seen this band live last year and they put on as good a show as ANY band I have ever seen. If you ever get the chance to see them live...do so.

There are several bands that are Christian bands that you would never expect. I was a fan of Flyleaf for several months before I realized they were a Christian band.

lol @ creed. and yes they most definitely are christian.

With the exception of My Own Prison they were basically the worst band ever.

Props for the Tool videos. Probably one of the greatest and most poetic bands in the history of music, although probably not appreciated or understood by everyone. Hands down, my favorite band ever and probably always will be because of the good memories, friends, and times I have attached to their music. Undertow is still my favorite album of all time. 100 years from now, when people look back on music in our times, I hope they will be remembered as one of the greats.

Ironically one of my favorite "Religious" songs is also by Tool. I don't know if he was just doing it as a tribute to his Mom or what, but he certainly seemed to change his perspective a little bit on the latest album.

I think Maynard's stance was religious on that song contrary to a lot of his other lyrics. Since his mother was religious and she became partially paralyzed very young in his life, Maynard expressed what a great injustice it was for her to become hurt like that. Good observation that his perspective changed, I would have to agree with you. It shows that time can heal the feelings of betrayals by "god"(or lack thereof) and to move onto other profound discoveries through music.

Through the progression of Tool's existence, I believe the clarity of their vision has sharpened throughout every album despite how abstract the songs seem. That's not to say every album isn't an incredible statement in and of itself, all having different themes and overall feelings. With that being said Tool is as much of a spiritual meaning to me than any god or religion. They go to great lengths in order to propose an understanding and realization of how ugly and basic we are as human beings as well as a potential on what we can become.

What about "Good Islamic Music"? Or "Good Rastafarian Music"? Shouldn't we be inclusive and encourage diversity of religion?
challenge accepted you'd be shocked how diverse we can get :)

Starting with native american by the greatest band to never become famous, Floater. Who are into the whole religion of the old native americans with the spirits of the animals and plants n shit.
