I'm not THAT big spender in Adwords, but you lost me here: "If you spend 10K a month with Adwords, you can charge up to 100K on your credit cards for free.". Where can you charge up to 100K? Are you talking about Adwords account, Checkout account, Checkout credit card or?

I get the idea behind your post and you're right, it's pretty damn good if it works.

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I haven't used Google Checkout...

here is a better scam

open an adwords business account

rack up massive bill selling affiliate shit and arbi make as much $$ as possible

on the 29th month close business bank account

Interesting...

You can charge 10X the amount you spend in Adwords for free. So if you spend 10K a month, you can process 100K in credit cards for free. This is basically a wash transaction. You make nothing, other then the frequent flyer miles and reward incentives with your CC company. Let me know if anyone thinks this is illegal. It's grey hat for sure.

It's funny that you bring this topic up, as I was just discussing a similar idea with a friend the other night. Basically trying to figure out how to run "wash" transactions through a credit card, and then make money off of the awards they give you. Another post on wickedfire got me thinking about it:

http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate...-small-business.html?highlight=amex#post90766

The chink in our plan was that most cards impose annual points limits - such as this Wells Fargo credit card (Limit of 60,000 points/yr per credit card).

https://www.wellsfargo.com/credit_cards/services/enhanced/

Thus you can't scale up to BIG numbers without having lots of credit cards - but you could still make some money off of it in the short term. I don't think it would break any rules though - Google Checkout is the one footing the bill for the Credit Card transactions (2% or whatever that is) so they're the only one that might drop you if they figured it out.

Good idea, thanks for sharing. Always like to hear new ideas that get my gears upstairs spinning. +rep.

You are dumb as shit. Google will auto deduct a new account every few hundred dollars... max around $600 ith history and no requests for higher credit limit. You have to spend several thousand a month for a few months to get monthly billing from adwords... and oyu have to sign stuff to do that... most likely resulting in low as credit and a collection agency if you don't pay the monthly billing.

im off to the rosebowl you stupid fucks.

katoved you don't even need to use a frequent flyer miles card for this
get one of those cards that has a 1% return and on 100k you make $1,000 back in gift certificates or checks

Katroved,

Google waives 10x the TRANSACTIONS FEES of your AdWords spend. You don't physically get to spend 10x.

In other words, if you spend $1000/month for AdWords, you can process $10k worth of products with no transaction fees.

thats what he is saying. spend $10,000 on adwords in 1 month and get $100,000 to be processed from your cards free of charge. then you would get poitns for spending that $100,000 from your card agency and u can pay back the $100,000 the same month it is billed cause you are just buying it to yourself

you butt nugget. hes saying with those free transactions just charge your credit card to your bank account, ie. say you spend 1000 a month on adwords. that means you can get 10k worth of transactions like you said. So you charge your credit card that 10k but your getting 10k in you checkout account. That money gets transfered to your bank account and then you pay your card off with it. so now you've made 1-3% with cashback from your cards rewards program and you have 100-300$ for nothin, it would only be worth it on a large scale but good idea.:rasta:

Wow, and here I thought I was shady.. You guys are just playing with fire.

But if you use an Amex for this thing, you'll most likely get a black card invite in 6 months or less.

The Centurion Card, popularly known as the Black Card
"
The card is available only by invitation and, as of January 1, 2006, in the United States, it requires minimum annual spending of $250,000 on another American Express card and other requirements."

Crazy

Some time ago, I use to do almost the same thing. But instead of adwords, I did it with ebay. At the time I had a PayPal Debit card and a paypal business account. I was a heavy ebayer (titanium powerseller). I brought all the shit on the card. Paid all business expenses (you wouldn't believe my monthly expenses). And for every transaction I got 1.5%. It doesn't sound like much. But I cleared at least $5k/yr in those little cash backs. Hell, I would even put most if not all my bills on the card.

I was going to spend the money anyway. Might as well get something out of it. And Paypal didn't have a limit. There are other cards but they have limits per year. Also, I think paypals offer changed where they have made it a bit more difficult and only paying 1%.

Don't get me wrong airline tickets are nice. But I'll take cash anyday.

If you sell yourself 4 packs of Healthy Choice pudding and use the coupon that gets you 5,000 free miles with 4 bar codes then you could get even more miles. (tic)

You may be over complicating things. Most CC's allow you to withdraw cash from ATMs. There are daily limits sure, but it's a hell of a lot harder to track for this type of fraud.
