As frustrating as it may be, I'm a big fan of "slow and steady" SEO.

I don't like making sudden moves, because Google is like a baby cobra and can be startled into attacking by such behavior.

The most difficult thing about SEO for a lot of people is the length of the feedback loop, and while it's tempting to try and shorten that loop by building more or faster, if you are after long term rankings, I think you need to check your enthusiasm a bit before proceeding.
