I was reasonably convinced at first, with it being free as adverts are where they make their money.. but then after a minute or so.. it's clear that this is April Fool's?? Nice one Google.

That's too smart of Google. Just minutes before reading this post, my mother was thrilled and mentioned that Google was now offering broadband. LOL. I can't wait to tell her it was an April Fool's Day joke.
