Have any of you used Healthcare in Northern Europe, Thailand, Japan, or even Cuba?

They make the US system of health & pharmacy look like we're a 3rd world country.

Their Medicines CURE things, not just prolong w/use of expensive drugs, which is obviously more profitable to big pharma. Even the common cold is treated very differently there... And don't get me started on Skin care, which they won't even allow our horrible products to be imported at all into their countries!

This is clearly another thinly-veiled move to protect big pharma's interests, and keep america using their shitty, non-effective drugs.

I think the mistake you're making is you're looking for the solution in the wrong place. Instead of trying to legitimize deregulation and increase risks to the consumer

Simply educate them of the risk... If they die from overseas meds thats their fault. If they want security buy from a trusted more expensive company. You get what you pay for.

We're not talking about buying Viagra from India you dumb fuck. Americans are restricted from buying their meds at a big discount from anywhere, like Canada for example. Do you really think the Canadians are selling fake meds?

Again, Americans are restricted from importing drugs because of standards and quality control issues. Drugs imported from Canada are not always made in Canada.

There's a reason in 2008 Manitoba stopped licensing internet pharmacies due to not being able to oversee operations. Drugs not earmarked for Canadian citizens are not subject to Canadian safety regulations. Marking drugs as "export only" in Canada allows for the shipment of drugs without being regulated. It's common for Canadian online pharmacies to import their drugs from various countries and earmark the drugs as "export only" to ship to the US.

But yes, continue to wear your tinfoil hat believing the government is raping you at every corner and opportunity presented.

This isn't about people buying no-named Viagra. It's about some 65yo guy living in Montana, currently paying $600/month for his heart, blood pressure, and whatever medications. Then via Google ads, he finds his way to a drug company in Canada where he can have the same medication shipped to him for 60% cheaper.

That's currently illegal in the US, which is total bullshit. Canada, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, and so on... have extremely strict controls on drugs as well. To think otherwise is simply delusional. Only main difference being, is the majority of these countries have nationalized health care, so there's strict laws in place ensuring the drug companies don't rape & pillage the general population.

After all, it's the government & taxpayers footing the bill for medication, so the government makes damn sure it's high quality, and as cost efficient as possible. For example, there's strict laws in Canada saying drug companies can recoup money invested for R&D, plus make a tidy profit, but they can't outright rape & pillage people, which is exactly what the US drug companies do.

Theoretically I agree, but most people who are looking to buy simply do not care. Thus the reason for dollar stores, prepackaged frozen foods, etc.
