Google's reading level metrics: Religions

Hahahha wickedfire v warriorforum.

Go google "jehovah's Witness" it has a higher reading rate then Hinduism. 68% intermediate.
They explain the Bible better and more clearly than anyone else as well, as well as actually live by it unhypocritically. I believe what they say is Truth, I just need to stop being a heathen. *working on it*

guys, the reading level formulas all revolve around the ratio of syllables and word length. They're not actually calculating how hard it is to read something, they're inferring the difficulty of text based on how long the damn words are in the text.

Flesch

The funny thing about this thread and Barman's quest for wordiness is that better writers keep their work around a 6th grade reading level so everyone understands it.

BTW, if we're bragging about being in the 1%, I decided to finish my BA to explore going to law school (I only have about 24 credits to go and having a JD behind my name would be beneficial when doing business) and I had to take the ACT on Friday...

Aside from the sheer amount of college level ass that parades the FAU campus I was surprised to score as high as I did on the exam-- a composite score of 33 with a 35 in English.

So, I AM the 98th percentile.

I'm going to have to get you one of these:

Just in case people don't grasp it on their first look at you.

oh and wickedfire vs warriorforum... :)

bahahaha! We got pwned. I guess our dickrolls don't require a dictionary :)

I think its more realistic that we pwned them. Every good copywriter knows to keep their readability up. So we have a positive correlation to better copywriters than the warrior forum. Warrior forum would be positively correlated to a bunch of hacks.

lmao we're talking ACT scores now? I got a 32 comp(best was math, what i thought i did worst in; worst was english...the subject i thought i did best in...uhhh?) and 12/12 on writing (biggest joke. all I did was follow the advice of my AP teacher to dedicate one paragraph to the opposing argument. Everyone who wrote better but didn't do this got a 9-10. derp)

....wa-wait, I just re-read danke's post...You have a BA, and going into law school...and about to take the ACT? uh, You mean LSAT, right? you no making no sense dankedankedanke.

More people in the world are licensed to operate a vehicle or machinery than are functionally literate for their age. Think about THAT the next time you get in a car; there are people next to you who literally cannot read the signs.

This reading level metric is really interesting for content. I hope, hope, HOPE it leads to a grammar check on the search results so spun content gets sodomized (and not in the good way that AXO and tridelt girls *demand*)

How did you pass the reading comprehension part? I said I'm 24 credits from my BA and I'm only going back to continue to law school.

Goshgeewilikers.

"and I had to take the ACT on Friday..."

Did you mean on A Friday? Or did you mean LSAT to get into law school?

Seriously??

Friday and the word "had" would obviously imply it was in the past... as in last Friday.

Step 1: Take ACT because it's been over three years since college (done)
Step 2: Finish getting BA
Step 3: Take LSAT

I'm going to go to lay on the sand for now. If that doesn't make sense to you please feel free to fly down here and take a photo of my hairy ass.

You're being compared against high school graduates there. Not exactly a high level of scholastic achievement

The key question is if Google is indeed scoring on this, is it better to have a higher or lower readability score? Does Google think you're more of an authority site if nobody except a phD can understand what the fuck you're saying?

Perhaps finally Markhov content will come into its own.
