As if I needed further proof that big business controls this country, this documentary exposes what's going on behind the scenes, how big business now controls the way our food is made, and how US people are being kept in the dark about the food they eat.

Watching this film, I was disgusted by how these faceless multinational corporations have greedily turned decent, hard-working farmers into their slaves. And on top of that, they've made e-coli more prevalent than ever by changing the diet of cattle.

It's up to the American public to watch films like these and take action. Otherwise, we are headed down a dark road.

I encourage you to rent this film. And if you have Netflix, you can watch it instantly on their site.

Big businesses control the world. Saw this few months back. Would recommend.

This movie is pretty well known and has been around for awhile, but if you havent seen it, its worth a watch.

If life was fair, this forum wouldn't exist.

Did you know that for over a hundred million years, swimming pillbugs that averaged 2-inches in length were the most advanced forms of life on this planet? They were the cutting-edge forms of life at the time - they roamed the oceans like they fucking owned it (and they did).

They only exist as fossils today. Stop bitchin' and get to work. You might not end up surviving, but at least you will have tried.

I'm pretty sure there's been a thread or two about Food Inc before on WF, but for those that haven't seen this, you are doubly encouraged to.

It's about the Shitty, shitty food you ate today and why it's literally killing you.

I got mine from my library for free, but you can catch it on netflix anytime or in a torrent.

I find the information on aspartame the most interesting -- that shit's practically force-fed to us... whether we want it or not. Just like saturated fat was force-fed to us, making us fat and thus paving the way for deadly diet products: Nearly all of which have aspartame.

Mind your manners, sonny.

is this the whole doc?

Sorry, didn't mean to sound so provocative. The post wasn't directed at you in particular, it's just that some things just seem so beyond our control.

That's because they are. Unless there is a complete and total revolt or some zombie apocalypse they always will be.

Things like this really make you clean up your act when it comes to eating. I joined a food co-op this year so I can supplement my supermarket food with products from local growers and I'm going to start a small garden next year.
