Dashboard is with out a doubt pop.
I only thought of emo as stuff like Dashboard, Senses Fail, etc. which technically they arent.

Id link somewhere else but I didn't actually learn what real emo was until it became a popular topic on my forums. If you want to see what real emo is and just find some damn good music: Emo - Music Districts Message Boards

60's The Dead, Velvet Underground, Stones
70's Black Sabbath, MotorHead, The Clash
80's Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth (Joe !!!!!!)
90's Tool, White Zombie, Black Label Society

just a few off the top of my head, cant sum up the best in a three out of each decade, theres just to many great bands and styles..

You suck balls! Megadeth kicks ass, well their older shit anyway. Dave Mustain fucking jams man, how could you Joe!!!!!

There's a reason why Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica. ;)

Megadeth is so sloppy and Mustaine is probably one of the worst singers ever...

My honorary mentions following Dream Theater and Kiss would be:

#3: PRE-1990 Metallica. That is - before, they succumbed to MTV mainstream, sold out their souls to the devil for $$$ and put their trash metal skills on the shelf for good. Their first four albums are without doubt incredible and kick some serious ass.
The Real Metallica (tm) - 1983-1990, R.I.P.

#4: W.A.S.P. - Probably one of the most underrated and misjudged metal bands ever. Sure, their early shock rock antics and lyrics were cheesy, but man do they rock! Blackie Lawless is still going strong writing killer melodic metal to this day. And... he has the coolest voice in metal! :)

Your wrong about that, he was booted because of his drug and alcohol problem, Mustain is one of the best speed metal guitarists to ever walk the earth. They got sick of his shit, drugs, alcohol, temper, missing practice....... It wasnt because he was shitty, Hetfield has said many times that mustain is one of the best.

Yep And Justice For All was Metallicas peak! everything after that, just didnt seem like Metallica...

This is getting a littl ebit ridiculous. If you think Megadeth isn't one of the tightest, most technically proficient, extremely advanced songwriting metal bands out there today, you are way off base. Listen to the album Rust in Peace for undeniable evidence. Pretty much the polar opposite of what could be described as "sloppy."

I was a fan of Megadeth albums, "Rust in Peace," "Peace Sells...," and "So far, So Good, So What!" albums, but I hated their later stuff.

And besides, seeing Dave Mustaine crying on Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster" made me lose any kind of remaining respect I had left for him (along with the respect I had for Metallica).
