Charlie Hebdo: Gun attack on French magazine kills 12

Gunmen have attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people and injuring seven in an apparent Islamist attack.

At least two masked attackers opened fire with assault rifles in the office and exchanged shots with police in the street outside before escaping by car.

The gunmen shouted "we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad", witnesses say.

Oh great another Muslims burning the world type post on WF...Why am i not surprised. This thread will go on for a couple of pages, people will rant, bitch, and moan about how every Muslim is a terrorist, and how we should all be wiped off the face of the earth, a couple of people will try to talk sense into those people by arguing that not all the sheep in a flock are black, then all will commence as usual. Given the magnitude of this, i expect this to be a yearly thing at WF.

Well maybe your people shouldn't be killing for their "Prophet Muhammad".

You don't see Christians, Jews, Atheists, or any other denomination going out there and killing people because of their beliefs. You only see Muslims doing it.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim.

Your right. At the end of the day if someone acts like I'm a terrorist because I am Muslim, there isn't really much i can do besides not give a shit.

Shit like this happens because people care. I wasn't pissed off at the cartoons.I thought it was tasteless, would have thought that if it included any other religion but the media preformed wonders when it comes to singling out one religion when it comes to certain aspects.

You're not a terrorist, and the probability of you being one is probably 0.0000000001% (bullshit stat made up for emphasis).

However, the terrorists at the root of the problem are Muslim: ISIS and similar organizations.

Hence, I find that offending you is nothing but constructive. From your profile, it looks like you live in Turkey. Therefore, if you get pissed, you'll likely be more inclined to disprove of actions being taken by terrorists, and put more pressure on the terrorists to not be complete pieces of shit.

And if you have any examples of Christians, Jews, or any other religious group doing fucked up shit, then please post. Bringing fucked up shit to light is the first step in there being less fucked up shit (as a Catholic, I know).

Oh rly? But you see Christians, Jews and Atheists bombarding Iraq, Libia, Afganistan, Serbia and killing milions of people. Its not muslims fault that France is NATO member that invaded all those countries. Not funny to see someone shot people in youre own city, isnt it?

I'm curious what the cliff notes of the shooters life would look like from 5 years of age up to the point where they were willing to shoot people for making a comic... I can't even begin to understand how they perceive the world around them to even consider that this was the right thing to do...

What I'm getting at is sometimes you hear about a young kid who killed their parents, and at first you're like holy fuck what kind of monster would do this to their parents...then you look a bit deeper and it turns out they were beaten for many years beforehand, or something along those lines - and you kind of understand how A led to B.... so what's the deal with these guys? How did A lead to B?
