Loudest LOL I've had in a while! LOLOLOL!!!!

The guy is AN IDIOT for posting that to facebook and he shouldn't have taped her mouth, it just looks really bad.

Not saying it's abuse IF the little girl understood that it was just messing around and playing games, but it's borderline to say the least. I don't think the man should go to jail, but I don't like the idea of anyone tying up little kids, and even if she absolutely LOVED the game he's still freaking retarded for posting it up. He must have NO CLUE of what people will do with a picture like that.

Also, I think a DANGEROUS precedent would be set if people saw pics like this and just laughed it off. Very dangerous. He should have kept silly games inside the house and left it at that. His stupid fault.

I wonder if the people that are OK with this are parents or not.

As a parent you do certain things for fun that in the wrong context they can be seen as violent or bad.

The picture itself is kind of bad, but the girl is just sitting there, which tells me she is not scared.

I tend to have MMA fights with my 2.5 year old daughter, she absolutely loves it, yet I am sure if someone took a picture of my fake rear naked choke it might look like I am trying to kill her, what they don't know is that there is no pressure applied whatsoever, its a good way for her to get out her energy...and that she arm bars me at the end.

Deliguy, are you seriously trying to justify what he did?

There's no reason for a 1 year old to be taped like this for amusement.

Do you also put ducttape across her face so she can't scream if you actually hurt her by accident?

Playing fake wrestling with your daughter isn't even in the same ball park as tying both her arms and legs together and then silencing her?

leave dood alone, he's just being a good dad.
What what WHAT?!?!?!

Would you care to explain exactly how this makes him a "good dad?"

Please take a good look at that picture of her first, and how many times around the tape must have been used to be that thick. (On such a young child, too!)

Playing around with younger kids leads to shit like this happening. I've tied my daughter to her bed as my prisoner (with tickle punishment). She followed me for weeks dragging that damn jump rope ... begging for more. Pics would have been incriminating no doubt.
I won't call you a pedo, but I do think you exhibited questionable father skills for tying your child to anything. What if she strangled herself on it by accident? This shit does happen.

And obviously the picture shows that the girl on facebook was totally incapacitated and gagged... Likely far worse than what you did to your kid.

Seriously, what if she had a stuffy nose? What if she had a leg cramp? What if a spider was in her shirt? You just shouldn't take so much of someones' freedom away from them like that... And at such a young age you're basically telling them "it is normal here on earth to be tied up and incapacitated like this."

I agree with you it's stupid that people think it's not okay to play with your kids or thinking this would even cause them any kind of emotional harm.
Don't be a moron. Like a butterfly's wingflap in Africa causing hurricanes in the US, this person's future life has just changed for the worse. She will likely seek abusive men that do this kind of thing to her because it is comforting and reminds her of dear old dad.

Emotional harm doesn't have to make them cry at the moment to hurt them.

You're right, I don't know the guy and can't make that claim for a fact. But good dads fuck around with their kids spinning them in circles, body slamming them, chunking infants up in the air, scare the shit out of little kids with monster stories, bounching them off beds & trampolines and ... yes ... even some good dads cut the tip off their son's dick. I get painters tape (post it note stickiness) and all the other "dangerous activities" I mentioned but really, we still tolerate genitalia mutilation???

I like you a lot luke and I think you're going to make one helluva grandma one day with all that worry you've got bottled up.

Nah I agree it was a stupid thing to do. I just don't see the malicious intent or believe she was actually harmed by it. On first appearance it looks bad but the punishment should probably fit the crime. He stands to lose a lot from this, where as just the blow up from it has probably already taught him a pretty stiff lesson. Although the tape over the mouth deserves him some punishment for sure and could have been a lot worse if she had a stuffed up nose, but he's no Casey Anthony IMO. Who might I remind everyone, got away with what she did.

Oh wow, you went there. ;)

For the record I wouldn't snip the tip of my child unless the best doctor on a non-american continent told me that it was the better choice medically. Then he'd have to show me exactly why, because it's hard to believe.

But I maintain that there is a world of difference between what I see in that pic from facebook and your entire list of fun activities to do with kids. Your list doesn't have anything on it that teaches them the wrong lessons. (Unless you do them with too much force, perhaps.)

Lol; Sorry to disappoint; I've got no offspring. Too much worry once again.

There is an obvious difference. If you play with your kid you know exactly how much strengh you used, how long the play lasted, did the kid enjoy it or not. If you come home and see your babysitter used tape on your daughter you don't know what had happened and your anger is justified.

The thing is you are taking his statement that it was just "play" at face value. Of course he is going to say that he was just playing around. What is he going to tell the cops, the bitch deserved it for taking a swing at me?

He will get his day in court but like I said if I was on the jury he would have an uphill battle fighting against that picture.

He was stupid. But shit 100000x worse will happen to the kid in foster care.

Does he deserve humiliation for being retarded? yes
Does he deserve prison time and to have the kid taken from him JUST FOR THIS? No (but there could be other thigns this incident exposes)

Frankly I feel this is part of the media's ploy to make men out as always the vitimizer. If you look up child abuse cases of women within the last 24 hours you will find things millions of times worse that don't get mentioned in any mainstream media.

While I agree that the state taking control of the kid is bad. I have had some experience with this because of one of my loser brothers and my niece. We spent almost $75k trying to get her out of the system and by the time we found her again she was seriously screwed up. Still pisses me off and I have only talked to the loser once in 15 years when my dad died.

It really depends on what was really going on. At best was he just being stupid? Or was he really tying the little girl up because of her behavior and thought it was OK.

Honestly it looks bad to me, maybe a video would have given us a better idea of what was going on. To me the tape over the mouth is what puts it over the edge, if he was just playing around why tape her mouth shut??? That just makes it seem a lot more abusive to me and less like playing around. Could he have just been playing around? Sure but like I said it would take quite a bit to convince me of that being the case.

Well if there was no actual harm he will be charged with a misdemeanor so I doubt he will see any prison time.

daddy was a heartless moron. How the fuck one can tape own child like that and take pics and post on Facebook. One word MORON.

Stupid thing to do, but hardly a reason to destroy the kid's life, and the dad's life over. When reading the story, all I could think of was, "well, here's an end result of the US privatizing correctional facilities, while influencing the judicial areas".

Just think, back in 1950 society managed to trek along just fine. Ironic part being, a good 70% of parents back then would be behind bars in current day society. I've heard the stories from my parents, and my grandparents weren't exactly the type to sit down and have a civil chat with their 4yo. Neither were any parents in that era, and everything still ticked along just fine.

This is what happens when the daddy gets too creative while raising a child. I don’t think that he’ll do anything bad since he seems to be playfully posted the pictures on Facebook. That’s a bad move though.

The fact that he thought this would be ok to post online is enough to be concerned about his parenting skills and what else he might have done to her.

Why people feel this need of showing their life on facebook ?

I never had an account and will never get one !
