dude they are about 1,2 million in my country and about 500k out of my country.

And people abroad think that everyone in Bulgaria is a gypsy.

Having worked in Romania for best part of 10 years and originally being from the UK I see that people make this confusion all the time. Now we can see that actually the country with the worst gypsy problem is Bulgaria.

Your whole statement 'Romania is traditionally thought of as the home of gypsies' is completely flawed. It's NEVER been thought of as a home of Gypsies because the Gypsy disease is spread out over all of Europe. My roots are from Macedonia, and I can tell you that they have their own troubles with the cigani, as do the Bulgarians that you meantioned, Italians, and practically every other European country. Greece has a HUGE gypsy problem, however because Greek policy doesn't acknowledge minorities (in fact, denies there are any minorities in the country) you won't find any stats on them.
