Have you tried Photoreading and did it work for you?

I skimmed their course a year ago and it was OK. I felt that it works the best for textbooks and not for books you wanna read for the emotional ride (novels).

I'm thinking about giving it a more serious look this year. Inputs?
 


I think the most useful thing is it gets to you to explicitly think about why you want to read the book and what you want to get out of it. Other than that, it didn't really do that much for me. I also liked:

What I really like is Home | EyeQ Advantage (see if you can find an old copy of the software). It's my favorite "speed reading" product of all time. I'm pretty sure it made me 20-30% better at CS back in the day and helped my vision. Most of these products are probably complete BS, but I always enjoy playing around with them from time to time.
