Hey Guys,

Not sure if any of you guys have any sort of solid knowledgebase to call on for this, but as most of you have decent home systems I thought I would ask!

I recently bought a Hannspree 37" HDTV from Dabs.com - everything worked great apart from some media not displaying properly on the TV.

DVD Player using SCART gives a strange blue tint when using it.

Virgin Media using the same SCART displays fine.

Xbox 360 using the same SCART displays fine.

Xbox 360 using HDTV Component connections (Red, green, blue) gives the same strange tint.

PC connection using VGA connection displays fine

Really strange huh? I dont know if its some kind of setting thats making the screen go blue but I have tried hundreds of different combinations and there always seems to be a blue overlay making gaming and dvd watching impossible.

Any ideas? Cheers

That'll be the DVD player, not the TV...
I had a similar issue with everything looks a bit red when I plugged in a Sharp DVD player to my Telefunken using miniSCART.

If the dvd player has a colour settings option, just scale back on the B in your RGB settings. If not, well, it's only one device, deal with it or get a new one.

I got a friend who's very knowledgeable with that shit cause he works at circuit city. if its not fixed by tomorrowish i'll talk to him for ya.

You could try calibrating the TV using a calibration disc. I have Avia Guide to Home Theater, and it works well, although I have a CRT HDTV and some of it may not apply to plasma/LCD.
