Someone needs to add a, no intro threads, outside of the intro thread, rule to the official rules.

There is also a setting in vBulletin, maybe it requires an addon, that forces users that meet given criterias to read a certain thread/post before they can go on as normal.

You know I was looking over the rules last night. It really does need to be updated with that thread that Shady started a while back (link here anybody?) cause i didn't see anything about an intro thread in the current one. Course it was late and I was skimming so...
