Firstly, the US hasn't stopped bombing those guys. The bombing is just very targeted, only going after the leaders in Somalia. On the ground though there are tens of thousands of Ethiopian troops supposedly chasing them around, as well as African Union 'peace keepers', but its a bit of stalemate - they have a weak hold on the capital cities in one part of the country, but its huge and an insurgency like that can take a good decade to clean up even when the population is 95% on your side. The Ethiopean 'peace keepers' being Christian in a Muslim country doesn't help this.
btw, I already posted this, but its even worst - 13 year old girl stoned to death in Somalia for the crime of... being RAPED.
