well after watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug...i just felt it was much better than The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey!!! what do you guys think

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug had a lot more of action, I mean i loved both... But from time to time i felt somehow bored while watching the first sequel of The Hobbit.
If you can watch it in IMAX 3D, do it. Mine had the movie in high-framerate as well. Shit was crazy. The movements were fluid, and there was very little blurring (what they do to make up for lack of frames in other movies). It's definitely something you have to get used to.
As for the movie itself, it dragged on like a motherfucker. Is it worth it? Probably for most. Not worth it if you can't sit for 3 hours.

Just want to say, glad someone else made the Hobbit thread. Some action was good, but if movies is serious business, you still somewhat want more. Elves kick holy ass with their bowmanship but it did drag on (although appropriately) and then just when it is about to get really crazy...
would only recommend for serious fans of the shire, folks with patience and those who appreciate big screen action and yes IAX or IMAX 3D would be of benefit unlike some films where it is a rip. Dragon fire! Dragon fire!
