rc cars are a great hobby. its fairly cheap once you've made hte initial investment and made hte upgrades you want. parts are easy to come by and when it breaks its kinda fun to tear it apart and fix it.

Totally agree. Traxxas makes it really easy to get into, even with a low budget. If you like nitros, get the Nitro Sport like mine and stick with OEM parts for replacements. Initial investment: approx $350.

For you electric guys, they have lots to choose from there. Even some for under $300.

Which should you chose? More a matter of taste than anything. I think nitros require a little more mechanical aptitude, whereas electrics require more finesse. I like the brutishness of nitros. They're loud, smelly and have a lot of torque. Electrics are quiet and quick.
