It's ridiculous to think about, but these people jumped on an opportunity that appears to be working out for them.
 
This reminds me of the hysteria surrounding the HP tablet discontinuation announcement of last year. Are they still making that thing? I guess broadcasting a discontinuation message is the only hope for some of these brands.

Hostess is partly to blame for their problems, because they never really modernized their business model. This goes to show what happens when you let your profitable campaigns go stale.
