...what you'd do at 20 if you had the chance to reverse things/course-correct
I'd have realized the 80% perspiration/20% inspiration rule then instead of a decade later. Fuck me that would have saved some time.
And that Of Course it has to do with who you know...everything counts and that can be the leverage that makes all the difference for some. I was cocky as fuck..threw more than one opportunity away because I thought my shit didn't stink and would often tell people in high positions that might have otherwise helped me, to go fuck themselves if they challenged or offended me in some way I didn't like.
Reminds me of the 'Dont make me your competition' Deniro speech from Limitless:
'...you do not know what I know because you have not earned those powers.. you’re careless with those powers.. you flaunt them and you throw them around like a brat with his trust fund you haven’t had to climb up all the greasy little rungs.. you haven’t been bored blind at the fundraisers.. you haven’t done the time in that first marriage to the girl with the right father.. you think you can leap over all in a single bound.. you haven’t had to bribe or charm or threaten your way to a seat at that table.. you don’t know how to assess your competition because you haven’t competed.. don’t make me your competition..'

or even something you did right without realizing at the time.
