How do you know you've learned something?

My professor for my intro to management class asked us this and said there were 5 ways to know that you had learned something. I can only remember 3 of them right now... maybe you can help me figure out the last 2?

This is what I've got:
-You apply it to your life
-You understand the concept
-You can teach the concept
-???
-???

Seriously, this question is so fucking nonsensical. Does knowing the other two add anything to your ability to learn? I guess not. Congrats for even remembering 3/5. I've always felt sad for the guys taking business courses, because a lot of it is senseless rote memorization of trivia like this.

Why ask this on Wickedfire, where it's more about knowledge you can actually use? Why not ask someone who is taking that course.

My best guess:

-when you can compare and relate the concept to other concepts
-when you can consciously reproduce the concept in your mind

There, you're a lot smarter now.
 
when you can adapt it
When you test it.

this is a college course? I remember this from like junior high study skills..and i was only in that class cus i sucked at school
 
You know you've learned something when you can boil the concept down to the point that a reasonably-intelligent child could understand.
