How long for ad approval?

I submitted my first slew of ads to facebook + google a couple days ago and they are still pending review. Is a ~3 day wait for approval normal? I particularly want to keep an eye on the facebook ads cause I know a lot of people spend money very quickly on there so I keep refreshing and they are always pending. Also, here's some boobs for your trouble. Thanks.

facebook ads shouldnt take that long to be approved. if you're worried about going through your budget just pause your ad campaign until it gets approved. it should have been approved/denied by now though. that's really weird.
 
Yeah 3 days seemed like a long time to me..I guess I can't do anything but wait though. I've heard other people say ~12 hours is normal, is this right?

Same deal with google. I'd be happier to even see them get denied or something its like they're just ignoring me lol...
