Bummer on the loss for the guy; but form legalease I agree with radio...if he reappears after you sold it, will result in you having to pay him back and them some for his 'loss'....yes the law is funky!

So hold on to it till you have exhausted all 'reasonable enquires' then flip it on

If he is dead and gone, then sell it for $1000 in a year! This is a buyers market, waiting will benefit you more than possibly scamming the guy because you are in a hurry.

Trust me I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, it can sit there for the next 10 years and I wouldn't give a shit, the last thing I would want to do is scam the guy I've got a good reputation to keep up with being honest in these types of situations.

No, it wasnt THAT great of a site at all. It was just something "hot" at the moment which I thought its time had peaked so I was getting out by selling it at what I thought would be the highest point. Turns out I was wrong.

It has definitely passed now, though.

And I don't sell many sites; I tend to hang on to them and every time I do it's a learning experience so I should go ahead and forewarn you not to expect that same level of "generosity" from me in any future sales
