Let's face it, college is a scam. Any moron can get a degree. I know plenty. And if you say "well, it's worth it if you go to a top-tier school." Sure, but I know a few unemployed ivy leaguers. In short, college means shit. You don't need a degree to make a shit-ton of money, especially in IM. If I had started IM out of high school and hadn't wasted years in college, I'd be worth ten times what I'm worth now.

Those of you who go to university for free in europe . . .lucky mother f'ers. . .

Perhaps any moron can get a degree from community college or some shitty 4th tier private school with 95% acceptance rates, but put that same moron in a top 10 school and I guarantee that he/she will not graduate.

And yes, a top-tier school IS worth it. The unemployed Ivy League students you are referring to are majoring in useless shit like creative writing or urban studies. Either that or they spend too much time at bars or getting high and have shitty GPAs. I presume you've been to Smokes, Blarney, Tap House, and Drinkers and know what I'm talking about. The same 100-200 people at Penn get trashed every night of the week, and then they wonder why they are having finding a legit job their senior year.

me - Freshmen.

I go to UW.

I'll be based out of Madison after I graduate. I am originally from Chicago, so it's not quite at home but close enough. :)

Got my bachelors in Finance, made close to $150k during my sohomore year doing myspace spam, lol not sure if its considered AM or not tho...and of course just as easy as it came, it went just as easy...non stop partying, girls, bottles service, vacations, no savings, just reckless college lifestyle on steroids lol...dont got shit to show for it now lol, but I'm only 25 and im working my way back up, doing it the legit way now tho, done with spammy nonsense, but those were prolly the best times of my life tho, hands down...couldnt beat being a 21yr old college kid at a college where girl/guy ratio is 4 to 1 and at the same time bringing in $3k a week by doing absolutely nothing LOL...def an awesome experience, wish i was smarter with my money back then tho, id still be balling if i wasnt so naive...but fuck it, u live and u learn i guess

Your story sounds like Andrew Fashion's (except he made 2.5 mil and dropped out of high school. And now he has nothing...)

Fuck that noise.

I worked even more than that on my business for the past 2 years, and I just graduated this week.

Start school - Finish it, you will be much prouder of your achievements.

Congrats on graduating Josh. I'm graduating in 1 month now. Really excited!

College Student Market

Brad here. I have graduated. But look back on school with mixed emotion.

Seems like internet marketing might really be a good part-time gig for a student. Sure beats flippin burgers etc.

What do you think about taking some "core courses" and converting them into online training programs from your own membership site?

I got my best grades when I went home at night and typed my notes from class that day. Seems like turning daily class notes into an on-line product would get two benefits.

First, the reinforced learning. Second, the membership site - for the right product - could produce a stream of revenue to pay for books, maybe the room or apartment who knows.

Once more, as a student progresses from Freshman to Senior - each course - the core courses - are already created and can be repurposed.

Think of it as a new ebook every semester. World history or a specific part of history might turn into a market niche. Don't jump on this too quickly. This is the "brainstorm idea". Think thru the idea. Do some keyword research and check your course catalogue.

What an opportunity to take instruction from a highly qualified instructor, graduate student or professor. Learn the topic, identify the quality content for your membership site - off you go.

What do you think of the idea - other than the work - it seems to have some appeal.

If you have time click over to my blog and let me know what you think of my site. I would be interested in any comments you may have. Check out rmsinternetmarketing dot com.

Best of luck in college - stick with it - as long as you are there - get everything you can from the experience.

Cheers !

Bullshit. Try telling anyone in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, etc that. I could not have learned the same on my own, and without the lab equipment especially.

You can't learn how to party on your own either.

Like, look at them dumb freshmans, they party like idiots.

I go there =]

Graduated a few months ago, working a regular job for shit money and doing IM in what little spare time I have left.

Tired of looking at stats while trying to study, I generally have a difficulty choosing between money or a degree in literature. God i hate literature.

i do IM in my free time on weekdays and full time on weekends.
im in school for an electrician course, which shocks most people (pun intended). Lol

Full time college student, 13 credit hours.
Mechanical Engineering.

It's definitely hard trying to juggle both AM and study,
and I can see that it is affecting my grades for sure but
this is what I enjoy doing.

As far as how much I make, I'm more or less trying to stay way
from pushing campaigns and just trying to build a stable foundation
(business) that I can honestly say is growing exceptionally.

Probably helps that I use my school to advertise, I'm constantly handing
out flyers and what not.
