Hi
Did anyone try to use craigslist, gumtree or kijiji to promote the affiliate programs from paydotcom, clickbank, or other CPA network?
If yes, may I know how can we go about it?

As I know that, those classified sites do not allow direct affiliate link or redirect link show on the post, how can we solve it?

To be honest if anyone has a working method in place to make lots of money with craigslist and affiliate programs why would they reveal thier methods on an open forum?

Ask them to email you for more information... When they email you, you give them the affiliate link.

COME SEE MY STUPID RIDICULOUS TECHNIQUE

You might try using a blog address.
Then you can put your affiliate links on there.
usually there is no objection to this.

The problem that most people who market on craigslist have is that they immediately try and force the sale. Instead what you should be doing is replying to ads by offering an informational product/website/pdf and get them on an opin list for that industry. Then you can start a blog or forum and shove your affiliate links there. A friend did this with his corvette forum and makes about $60 a day from insurance and loan affiliate programs. Its not a lot but the traffic costs nothing.

Craigslist can be a fucking gold mine if you're creative. There's a million ways to go about it.

Here's an idea off the top of my head, I haven't done it.

Build a classified ads site, focus it in the automotive niche. Fill it up with a bunch of fake ads for cars. Plaster the shit out of it with auto quote, insurance, and car loan offers. Also, make it so they have to register to view contact details.

Now get on craigslist, and post ads for cars, sound like a desperate seller... "I need to sell ASAP, need emergency cash for medical bills, will take any reasonable offer, PLEASE HELP!" Don't leave any contact info, say "all of the info is posted on this website."

People go to the website to check it out, thinking they might get an awesome buy. They'll register (read: Give you their email) to view the contact info. Just put in some fake info.

Now, you've got highly targeted free traffic coming to your site, looking at your ads, and giving you their contact info. Doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Damn, now that I think about it I better get to work.:rasta:

From what I hear there is some money to be made in the personals section with dating/porn type affiliate programs.

Horny people = money

I haven't tried this but I read about some people who have on this forum in the past.

Personals category is hard to market in now. People have gotten used to all the spam, and everyone is signed up to all the dating offers alreadly.

Great ideas there.
++++ repped.

Just do what he said and you'll do ok.

I'm sure most people know about this, but craigslist has gotten smarter about knocking down spam.... now instead of flagging the message, and notifying you that your ad was deleted they have a way of deleting or never posting the ad and making it look like it's still up. When you check to see if it's there from your confirmation email it looks like it's still up, but it ain't!!! Anyone figure a way around this shit yet? I am baffled.....

Affliate programs

Well,:bigear: :bigear: it is true that some sort of money should be made in the personal sections with affiliate programs.

Heh, I just came back to CL and I have the exact same problem. I have around 25 "active" ads but none are showing up in results.

Yes, they do this now.

My guess is that craigslist thinks that if they show your ad as "Active", and they don't list it in the directory, then you won't get any email responses.

They think that this will make you think that your ad is not working, and that maybe you'll stop spamming that particular ad.

Obviously anyone who isnt an idiot will realize that the ad hasnt been published for some reason, and thats why no one is responding to it.

So far the only way around this is having a differnt ad for every post, and a different IP every 5 ads or so. Anyone have any other ideas?

This is an easy answer, I have been doing this for two different projects, one for the business I work for (which served as my "test" product in a way) and than for my own personal biz. Create a shit load of autoresponders, basically one for each product your selling, this is simple and does not take a lot of time. Once you have set up the autoresponders, create a badass pre-sell, causing the prospect to commit before seeing the actual affiliate page. OR, if you believe the product page sells itself, just place a link in the email. One thing to remember, with craigslist you need to post alot each day. You will get flagged farely quickly by users that are familiar with how Craigslist works. If its not a local product, it gets flagged.

Again, you must post alot, Craigslist has begun to crackdown on affiliate spamming, try to make each post as unique as possible, dont copy and paste each post and change a couple words around. You could even write a review about the product your selling, a short one of course and paste it into the item description. I use a content rewriter used on already posted ads from the products website. This works well, work smarter not harder! :).

This is a much more condensed version of what I do, but this creates a solid amount of traffic, and if your selling niche products, this is my favorite way to sell them....Craigslist is not for the techno savvy people, normal people looking for garage sales, and shit lol. Got something they are looking for....and at a reasonable price! Done.

How about trying this one...the crazy bitches on the personal forums(the adult content area) are suckers for porn products. hint hint. SELL money making tools, webmaster tools, camsites to these "Slut for money" wannabes lol. haha, works for me anyways,

I shared that cuz, hell, craigslist is effen huge and unsaturated, Ill live!

The problem I have with craigslist is this:

Dont he ads fall off the page after a day or two?
How do you keep the ads "up" and getting clicks without having to repost the same ad everyday? Or am I missing something basic about craigslist?
