How's it like in San Diego During the first 2 weeks of January?

My friend invites me to San Diego for the first two weeks of January. I live in Colorado and could use a break from the snow and he tells me all these great things about San Diego during the first two weeks of January but I'm sensing that he just really wants to see me.

I know a few of you live in SD, so:
-How is the party scene in the Gas Lamp at that time?
-Is it cold? I used to live in Vegas and it gets cold during that time of the year.

If San Diego wasn't a part of California, it'd be the most super fun #1 awesomest place ever.

As to the weather, I was there last year in late december and never needed anything more than a light jacket and that was only at night.

There's nothing better than boning one of your brahs on the beach. Just make sure not to get sand in your vagina and watch out for dem pesky seagulls.

Mmmm San Diego....drink it in. It always goes down smooth.


Nights are cool, into the low 40s. Don't expect to be tanning on the beaches though because chances are weather will be in the mid 60's and the beaches just aren't that warm, neither is the ocean in January.
Gas Lamp scene will be mellow, not like summer time, but you can still find some cool places to hang. Either way it's a hell of a lot more moderate than Colorado weather.
 
January is pretty dead there at that time, school, weather etc, I always use yelp.com to find shit to do, I mostly hit the hookah lounges, clubs, bars, hotel bars, and just chill, summer time is whole different story.
