Anyone getting this looks amazing. Fuck the s4.

Played with it yesterday, it's nice I'll admit.

...then I walked 10 feet behind me to sign for my S4.

Though I will say when talking to the salesman there with one he mentioned having issues with the battery already, dying out fast.

The technical specs and hardware of the phones are both very nice. I would take either phone, only because I would root it and go back to vanilla android. The major differences are in the UI and in the manufacturers software. I've always preferred HTCs software over Samsungs, but I have an SIII right now.

Neither are perfect, htc aesthetics and samsung spec/availability would be amazing.

I dig the HTC One having a metal case.

I still haven't decided between an S4, a Note 2 or an HTC 1 but I'm leaning HTC again.

I have a Desire HD right now (I picked it cos it had the gayest name), and anytime I pick up a Galaxy it just feels like a toy in comparison. If you think megapixels determine how good a picture is going to look... well.. *You're the target market for a Galaxy, I guess, so the plan is working. (*Edit: That was a dumb thing to say and I'm aware it was a dumb thing to say.)

Waiting for S4 here as well. The One looks nice, looks well built, but other than that I'm not seeing any other key features. Front facing speakers is pointless IMO. The S4 is loaded with features.

Both phones are virtually the same performance wise HTC has better screen, sound. The s4 has lag issues with the piece of shit touchwiz and most of the new features are gimmicks. The only reason to get the s4 is the sd card and removable battery which I don't need.

The HTC One is about as fixable as a brick.

That will really affect resale prices. Overall it looks like a really nice phone, but being on Verizon I don't think it's even been announced. Worse still is the 64 GB version is an AT&T exclusive, at least for the time being. If you ask me, HTC really screwed the pooch on this one. Got the S4 on pre-order.

I picked up the HTC One yesterday (posting from it now) to replace my Nokia Lumia 920. Had a hardware issue come up and decided it was just time to ditch that thing. The Lumia is a great handset totally crippled by its operating system.

Anyway this is my first Android handset after using all of the other majors, so i don't really want to comment on it other than to say that so far, it's awesome. The phone is very well designed, light and a pleasure to hold. The display on it is definitely first-class; never seen a display this crisp anywhere.

Like one of the posters above I didn't see any reason to wait for the GS4 based on the reviews I've seen, but again this is my first Android phone so what do I know?

Loved this guys review really shows how good it is.

after carrying arround the Nokia Lumia 920 in my jeans for 2 weeks I'm convinced that I will never buy such big/heavy phones. This is why I fuck the HTC one as well (iPhone ftw)

I need to make a choice between both and it seems I am going to go with S4.
HTCs are usually below Galaxies but I considered HTC One because of its superior exterior and look. Final decision is still pending.

Get both and spend a week with each. Pick the one you can't live without based on your own habits and return the other.
