HTtrack vs. Other Browser Utilities

Been looking for something that is powerful but somewhat easy to use. I know that HTtrack seems to be the most popular of all of them but I don't know why.

In what ways is HTtrack more powerful than say a Firefox offline browser extension or other software in ripping pages/sites?

Also, do any of them work on membership sites with logons?

ya, if only there was some magical way to get past a user-agent block. /s

i don't know why everyone's recommending wget, i find httrack way better for ripping sites as it automatically translate CSS links and other resource links and can dump them all in an images/ folder. so you can pretty much straight upload the ripped site and it works straight away.

HTtrack is the only one I've used because it works, so I haven't had a need to look for any others.

Of course you need correct login credentials. AFAIK, wget will not fill forms for you, and act like a full bot.

HTtrack is solid, though I remember having issues with file paths for some reason.
