Hydra - BURN THE WITCH!

hey mason , i don't know why i my account have been banned ? but seems like you guys have no money to pay your affiliates anymore . can you tell me will i get paid for the commission for December or you people don't even have money to pay that either

The only part of this that EVERYONE should heed warning to is Mason's statement about $10M in BAD DEBT.

OH Hai!1 We r rebillz advertZ yo! We want a million order a per day!

Just how many networks are you working with where you DO NOT KNOW their cash positions. This can be recipe for disaster for all parties involved.

To those affiliates who complain they did not get paid, please note Hydra does not pay for traffic that all originates from a single user, using some form of automated entry process, with a virtual credit card, when we have consistent advertiser complaints of fraud - or some variation thereof.

When we catch it we do not provide proof as it might reveal ways to work around our quality control processes - in the same way people have learned to work around IP patterns.

I am always surprised by the indignation of obvious fraudsters. When busted they don't deny they were committing fraud. "Just pay me for my good leads," is what we invariably hear. But it's rare that there are any.

If you want to commit fraud, PLEASE find some other network to run with. That way you won't have to complain about Hydra freezing your account and not paying you, and save us both time and aggravation.

If your going to hold payment on people you better have proof (and share it) as to why. Otherwise your going to be back on wickedfire defending Hydra.

Transparency, especially as to why a payment is withheld, is ABSOLUTELY VITAL!

If Hydra was withholding your paycheck, wouldn't YOU like to know why?

Sure, let's tell the thieves how we caught them, so next time they can try again and maybe get a way with it.

OR lets just screw over some guys cuz we can't pay them, or want to pad our pockets.

It's a double edged sword.

If being a member here for as long as I have has taught me one thing, it's that most people who claim to have not been paid generally where doing something wrong. However every once in a while it is actually someone getting screwed.

Still would not trust you. My account was closed a couple of months ago with no warning and your company as yet to respond to my inquiries on why it was closed. I only had around $100 due to me so the money is not an issue.

For those of you that have not had an issue I hope it remains that way.

There continue to be rumors that Hydra is in trouble and soon to go out of business, will close its doors on January 15th (tomorrow), is getting out of the affiliate business, etc. etc. A member of this forum even posted court documents as “proof.”

This has been going on too long and I would like to settle the matter once and for all by providing the facts:

1) Yes, like many other networks, Hydra faced business challenges last year. We swallowed close to $10 million in bad debt from advertisers. (That’s more than most networks do in total revenue in a year!!!) Yet we’re still in business and continue to pay publishers on time.

2) It has been reported on here and those of you who have followed the situation know that Hydra has gone through a lot of drama… and it all came to a head in 4th quarter. But it was all resolved. Hydra and the Walker Family / W4 have settled all their issues. The Walkers have no involvement or ownership in Hydra and are free to run their business. There are no more lawsuits. It is done.

3) Hydra had to use the court system in the 4th Quarter for the purpose of restructuring. Certain aggressive and concerning statements were made as part of that process. But look at the end result. Zac Brandenberg led a new group of investors to buy the company he founded in 2003. There is no greater vote of confidence than putting up millions of dollars. For the record, the assets of Hydra were purchased by Marlboro Investment Group LLC – now renamed Hydra Group LLC. We have already informed most of our advertisers and affiliates of this change.

Bottom line – we’ve moved out of marketing categories we see no future in, we’ve just received a major new infusion of cash as part of a new corporate structure, we are investing in new capabilities to support future growth, and we have always and will continue to pay our affiliates on time.

Can we now just move on?!!!

What Mason fails to understand is that 99% of people hanging around on any forum will do so just for the drama, boobs, or because they have nothing better to do.

Any affiliate that pushes real volume to Hydra, or any network, should be able to weigh their options and should do their own research and not need people to do it for them or blindly follow the mob mentality that takes over threads.

All making new threads like this do is turn off new affiliates and give Hydra a bad name with those who are just starting (Why go with a network with so many problems when others have none?). If you get attacked on another thread please free to defend yourself, but don't start stirring up shit if you aren't ready to provide proof (court docs) of everything you say and finish this whole argument.

This is just another reason to go with a network that is transparent. Just another reason to get to know the inner workings of the network you work with. Just another reason to know the people running the network. And most importantly just another reason to stay on top of what your network is doing, besides paying you.
