You heard me. :) Because of my disability (my left leg is amputated) an organization in my area is willing to give me some money to start a small business. And I don't have to pay it back. Of course, I want to invest it in my internet marketing ventures.

I'm hoping I could get some good advice from my peers around here. Basically what I'm shooting for is to push mainly affiliates and do a site that kind of works kind of like Kieron's UKOffer. I am already implementing Jon's advice as far as niche sites go, I'm doing that right now with my own money since it doesn't cost much.

It seems like there are so many things to think about so i don't drain this money like water. What I do know is that PPC will be heavily involved in getting my business going. maybe incorporating, finding an accountant, outsourcing the work that I suck at.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: Help.

Congrats on the money, If I were you I'd split it between adwords, msn, overture and someone to code a few landing pages for you.

Do you know anyone specific who can code good landing pages? Or is it best to search around eLance or something?

I use a guy I went to school with, I think he does it out of friendship rather then for the money though. Anyways, yeah I'd just basically look on elance, sitepoint, anywheres you can rent a coder.

I would recommend keeping the $5000 in the bank for now. Do small chunks of test spending and when something works then use that money to scale it outwords (more KWs, new PPC networks.) I don't know if you have a credit card but sometimes there can be some gaps between CC bill due and affiliate/PPC checks -- this $5000 will help your cashflow out alot.

Thanks Andrew, sounds like great advice. Testing things out to see what works seems like the best way to go. I've been doing a little with my own money right now on the smaller ppc engines.

You only need to invest $500 or LESS of that in order to make HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of USD RECURRING a month....

How?

Resell outsourced text content services using your own domain and private label. Email me at info@webmasterlabor.com for details.

won't hurt to see what you have to offer...

CONGRATUALATIONS! It's great to see gifts like that being used wisely. Make it last! Glad to see you are taking time to research. Go slow and be cautious.....you'll be having "new best friends" coming out all from all over the place.

My son got a computer hook up from Make a Wish (for children w/life threatening illness) almost 5 years ago, he's still using the computer and just had to replace the desk recently. He's created a cancer awareness site with it and is currently an internet entrepreneur.

Hope you "give back". Not neccessarily $$$, but find away to "pay it forward".

hey I also got a computer through the Make-A-Wish foundation! I was 11 back then and I got a "top-of-the-line" 333mhz dell computer... Not so top of the line anymore since that was 7 years ago! Thanks for the advice Jan.

DruSam,

My advice is to get into Niche Building, monetize thru adsense.
Build/Buy a couple of websites, do your SEO and the Adsense Money will flow....(It Residual Income - Monthly)

For Affiliate marketing, It will takes awhile for your to see the money.
It takes trial and error to know if the product that you promote can make you money.

If you serious enough to make serious money on adsense, just give me a pm.
(No Affiliate Link) Just my way of giving back to community.:pimp:

Think of that 5 grand as your baby. Don't let just anyone get their greedy hands on it.

It's really easy to piss away thousands in business...unfortunately I've learned that lesson more than once.

You're smart, do as much as you can yourself. Test in very small increments, spend the profits on growth. Keep the vast majority of the 5k as security.
