I had this great idea for an unique party theme. Tell me what you think!

My friend tells me she wants me to throw another party soon at my house and I decided i want to have a surprise party for no reason.

My plan is to randomly call everyone i know and tell them to meet me at my house at an exact time. I'm not going to tell them anything of whats going on or why i need them there. I'll just tell them to yell SURPRISE! right as they walk in. I'll instruct a few to come in through the back door and stuff and to park at neighbors houses.

brilliant or idiotic?
 


haha... could be fun! My suggestion would be to do some decor and have a crew of peeps to help yell suprise so you're not alone for the first few people, and then of course make everyone else who comes takes part. Party hats, streamers and some noise makers you have quite the boogie down!

I'm plotting a party at the moment now that I'm back home from my coast to coast adventure: Punch'n Muffins

Gonna rent out a skating rink and get everyone to dress all funky with a few DJ's. Of course, going to serve muffins and punch! (possibly better than punch and pie, yet to be determined)

I'm a nerd, I really just want to throw it to design the flyer.
 
An alternative along the same idea: Tell 1/2 of the people to arrive a half hour earlier than the rest. Tell them that its a surprise party for another group.

Tell the other (late) half that they're to arrive at an exact time and they're to sneak in, and when the lights are turned on, they are to yell "Surprise!" to the other group. Have someone outside to organize them as they arrive.

To add a theme to it, you could tell 1/2 that its a Goth themed party and tell the other half that its a Gay Pride themed party - or that they have to wear something pink.

Swear each person to secrecy. They're not to tell anyone else about the party. This can create more of a buzz in their minds and greater anticipation.

Maybe serve a shot or two to the group waiting inside. And the group that's to sneak in, they have to take a shot before entering.

I think it would be even more brilliant if you say to them "I can't tell you why I want you here, it's a Surprise"
 
Its a nice Plan but You already know how people are they never come at the time you tell them so it could be tricky for you to set up the time
 
Tell em its a swingers party & youve got some A grade poontang lined up, they will all arrive at teh same time.
