I have a 5 yr. old "car audio" related domain

Looking to find out what to do with this domain, www.caraudiodistributor.net I bought it in 2002 and built a car audio store for my relatives store but they aren't selling online anymore. Do you think I get high up in SERPs with this domain do to the domain age and keyword "car audio" in the domain? Only problem is that it's a .net .com wasn't available.

Some ideas I've been thinking, review site of new car audio products, I'm quite familiar with car audio. I can pick out good high end car audio products, affordable items, special deals etc.. and hire a writer to create professional reviews. Then monetize with adsense and/or affiliate links. Maybe some installation tutorials, speaker box construction, etc..

Do you think this would be a good place for a forum? I don't know how many car audio forums are out there, I'd have to do some research, but the domain name doesn't go well with a forum.

Anything else? Does this sound like something I should go through with? I have some different projects that I want to work on, but the domain age and possiblity to get high up in SERPs, is what's bringing this to my attention.

take a look at the top 10 and see what your up against in terms of competition. car audio 381,497 - looks like it gets plenty of searches. maybe set up a forum for distributor's specifically to trade info and shoot the shit. focus on businesses that are selling car audio equipment as opposed to targeting the end user maybe.

Thanks, that's a good idea, there are many small "car audio" business owners that could benefit from having a forum like this since not everybody can go directly to the manufacturer or authorized dealer due to the minimum quantity they have to purchase.

Is it complicated to manage or setup a forum? Any good links you would recommend? I think somebody here Aequita? made a post about setting up and managing forums?
