We do have a very good idea of how much of the brain we use, it's pretty much 100%. Check a few science sources if you want, they all agree on this:

We have a base of knowledge that we are constantly building on, and advancing. This doesn't me we are getting smarter, just that we have access to more information that we can draw on than ever before.
