I find it strange that despite the fact I share a common ancestor with every single member reading this post and even though we live in the same planet (and likely the same country) - you might as well be on the other side of the universe. I will never be able to touch you and affect your life, I am completely and utterly insignificant to you.
I marvel at this fact as I walk in the vast primordial soup of potential human interactions - that, for all intents and purposes, strangers might as well live on a distant planet. What a strange juxtaposition to be so close yet so far away.
At the end of the day though, such scenarios are purely mental constructs. I suppose I could just walk up to a random person and start talking to them, but my mind stops me from doing so. My mind shapes my reality, not necessarily the environment I live in. I feel like I can apply such observations to many facets of life.
