I learned about IFTTT somewhere on WickedFire that I can't find now, and it's ridiculously awesome. I haven't even really got to play with it that much yet, but goddamn. I'm using HootSuite to schedule posts on Twitter and then IFTTT posts them to everything else. I also have a pretty old phone, and now I can send a text/SMS to IFTTT to have something automatically added to my GTD inbox in OneNote. I'm just stoked like a motherfucker right now because my life has been made a good bit easier by this awesome shit.

Thank you for whoever the fuck it was who showed me that. Anyway, here's some ass. I'm on a stockings motif lately.

I love IFTTT as well. I use it with TrackIf to auto-populate for me a spreadsheet of homes sold in specific zip codes. I use it with Wifi signals to turn the volume off and vibrate on when I enter the work Wifi area, and back to volume on once I get home. It tracks my daily Fitbit stats in a spreadsheet, and stores my texts for reference later. Plus I get a nice, concise text at sunrise with the weather for the day.

I'd love to grab some home automation stuff and give it a go with that. However I've been seeing that it can basically forget from time to time. I've missed two days of sunrise weather texts and two months, so that's about 93%. Not bad, but I wouldn't depend on it.

The worst is when it doesn't notify you that it's gonna rain. Then you leave work and realize that you're fucked. No proper jacket or umbrella. Only option at that point is get soaked, or pay the black hustler that used a proper weather forecast tool the $20 for a crappy umbrella.

AdamC for sure has a dislike script.

I'm also sure that ShadowCaster has a like script.. fucker always beats me to the first like.
