WTNH.com, Connecticut News and Weather - Atheists' sign sparks controversy

I have been diving into the whole Christianity/Religiosity/Creationism debate and have to say that it has driven me to pursue my ethics as an atheist even more.
(And driven me to the point of sheer amazement, horror and feeling completely brainfucked after watching creationist videos on youTube :anon.sml:)

Currently reading (my translation, no guarantees) "Manifest for an evolutionary humanism" to think about some of the underlying principles of an ethical world view without the need of a "higher power".

Anyhow...

Ah for fucks sake. We atheists need to learn a little something about timing. All this is going to do is fuel their imaginary "war on christmas".
 
Yeah, I got the message right away as well. No religion means that it's a helluva lot harder to convince Abdul and Akmed that there's 71 virgins waiting for them on the other side of a suicide mission.

But I don't think you can use the image of the WTC without sparking some serious controversy.
 
a world without religion would be a great place, but it's only been in recent years that we've really been able to understand the universe.... so for thousands of years humans had to have religion to explain all this mess.
 
One of the things I look forward to the most during this holiday season is antaginizing my mom. (family christmases are so much fun!!) When she shakes her finger and says, "Remember the reason for the Season..." I always say, "Winter Solstice?"
I don't know why she keeps doing that to her self. :D
