Ok, it's been awhile now.
I quit doing the exercises back in October and I'm only wearing the PinHoles once in awhile.
I did a little more research and found that AT MY AGE, if I keep making my thickened lens try to BEND to read up close it will start to cause small STRESS cracks in it that will increase the star bursts I see when looking at lights at night.
It can also lead to Cataracts. NOT GOOD!!
It seems that 40 is about the age limit to doing the FOCUSING stuff to help with up close vision.
Younger than that and it can be done with beneficial results.
Although it would seem that the REGULAR eye muscle exercises for their MOVEMENT and NOT what "I" was doing with the Pin Hole Glasses to FORCE the inner muscles attached to the lens of the eye to be bending are FINE to do for life.
I would even go so far as to say that it would help with BALANCE in your Twilight years by doing them. I say this due to my vertigo from the car accident and the rehab I had to go through. The Natural Eyesight exercises did much more to help restore my balance than ANY of the things the Physical Therapist was having me do.
Add to that all the research I did on the Vestibular System, Eyesight, and Skeletal Alignment combined with Neural Transmission Speed & Sensitivity from the FEET to the brain and I feel pretty certain that having STRONG MUSCLES to keep the eyes moving FAST enough to keep up your body's movements would be of great benefit.
I got my eyes to where I could use my 5 year old script glasses for the computer and when I went to the eye doc in October my contact script had not changed.
So, I broke down and just went ahead and got contacts for this year. I only wear them will working on the computer.
I take them out when Driving since my DISTANCE VISION got twice as good after doing the exercises. And it hasn't reverted any since stopping the eye exercises.
So, my CONCLUSION?
The eye exercises can and do work to a degree. But there does come a time, with AGE, that surgery or contacts or glasses will actually BENEFIT your eyes and extend your visual acuity.
Natural Eyesight for "me" is not total BS, but I was just too old when I found out about it. (I know the websites talk about people in their 70's improving their eyesight, but they NEVER state the type of eye problem that they improved.)
Had I known about this and started doing it back when I was in my 20's or 30's it would have most likely allowed me to make it to my 60's before needing glasses. Just a guesstimation on my part though.
So, to all the guys who were Nay Say'n to this........you were only partially correct.
It is NOT a for sure fix and I'm sure that since everyone is different, some people will have better results than others. As with MOST things in life.
The Pin Hole Glasses are a sure thing though. Provided your vision is NOT worse than -6.0 Diopters.
So ends my experiment and report.
